The Durable Ledger

About

Marcus Norrgren

I am Marcus Norrgren, based in Sweden. I work in tech, and I have a habit — some would say obsession — of researching purchases thoroughly before making them. I apply the same framework whether I am buying a coffee grinder or a pair of boots: what is the true cost of ownership, how long will it last, and is it worth buying once?

Every article on The Durable Ledger is a product I actually bought, with my own money, and have used long enough to have a real opinion on. The purchase dates, prices, and proof images are real. The ratings and verdicts are mine.

How the articles are written

I write these articles collaboratively with AI tools. I provide the purchase, the research notes, the ownership data, and the editorial judgment — the framework applied, the ratings assigned, the verdict reached. The prose is produced with AI assistance and reviewed and approved by me before it publishes. Nothing goes live that I have not read, fact-checked against my own experience, and signed off on.

I think this is worth being direct about. The experience behind every article is human and first-hand. The writing process uses the best available tools to articulate that experience clearly. Those are different things, and both are true.

Why this site exists

The Durable Ledger started as part of an experiment in LLM SEO: can a site built on provably first-hand experience earn authority faster than a site built on traditional keyword tactics? You can read about that at raisond.tech.

The experiment is real, but so is the content. The Total Value Audit framework behind each article is something I have applied informally for years. The site just makes it explicit.
