Bought for 3,590 SEK (€327) in January 2026. Works with guitar and bass, fits anywhere, sounds genuinely good at low volumes. The amp research kept coming back to this one for good reason.

Sage Dual Boiler BES920

Bought for 11,590 SEK (€1,054) in September 2025 after upgrading from a De'Longhi Dedica. Dual PID boilers, adjustable pre-infusion, and temperature precision that makes the machine disappear into the workflow. The coffee is very, very good.

Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC

LDAC wireless audio, strong active noise cancellation, and a form factor that disappears into a pocket or backpack. 899 SEK (€82). Not a buy-once product — the batteries will eventually degrade — but the best value I found in a category where no earbuds are.

Malfroid Bonneville II

Founded in Paris in 2018, made in Porto on French-tannery leather with a Vibram Gumlite sole. Bought for 250 EUR on a good discount after researching quality GYW producers. The smarter shoe in the rotation when the Wolverines are too rugged.

Yanko Travelers

Made by Yanko in Inca, Mallorca since 1929, bought via Skolyx for 1,999 SEK (€182). A Blake-stitched derby on a cream rubber sole — the casual leather shoe for every season that isn't deep winter.

De'Longhi Dedica EC685.M

Bought for 1,569 SEK (€143) in May 2021, used for 3–4 coffees a day for four years, sold for 500 SEK (€45) in September 2025. Net cost: 1,069 SEK (€97) over 52 months. A solid entry-level choice — and the machine that taught me what I needed next.

Graef CM900EU Silver

A capable entry-level espresso grinder that served the De'Longhi Dedica well. When the Sage Dual Boiler arrived, the mismatch became clear — the CM900 was too loud and too limited for a serious machine. Sold for 400 SEK.

Roland FP-10

Bought for 5,735 SEK (€521) in August 2020. Weighted keys, Roland sound quality, no unnecessary features. Five years of family use and still the best-value entry into real piano playing.

Sony WH-1000XM3 Trådlösa Brusreducerande Hörlurar

Bought in February 2020, the XM3 over-ear headphones have been the reference point for wireless audio ever since. Still working perfectly after five years. The one drawback — device switching requires re-pairing — is the only thing I would change.

Wolverine 1000 Mile Plain-Toe Boot

Bought at half price from a Malmö shoe shop that no longer exists, these Horween Chromexcel boots have outlasted a decade of fall and winter use. At around 145 SEK (€13) per year of ownership, the TCO case is not even close.

Technivorm Moccamaster KB 741

Handmade in the Netherlands, SCA-certified, with a five-year warranty and a repair-first philosophy. We have had ours for at least thirteen years and it runs exactly as it did on day one. The coffee has never been better anywhere else.
